How Binance Futures Fees Work

Fees apply to the notional size of your position (margin × leverage), on both entry and exit. VIP 0: 0.02% maker, 0.05% taker. The BNB discount cuts 10%. A funding rate is also paid every 8 hours while the position is open — the longer you hold, the more it costs. Full breakdown in the fees guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are Binance Futures fees calculated?

Fee = position (notional) size × fee rate. At VIP 0: 0.02% maker, 0.05% taker. Charged on both entry and exit; the BNB discount cuts fees by 10%.

What is the funding cost?

The funding rate is paid every 8 hours while the position is open. Cost = notional × funding rate × the number of 8-hour periods you held.

What is break-even?

The % price move needed to cover all fees (entry + exit + funding). Profit only begins beyond that move.

Does this apply to other exchanges?

Yes — same concept on Bybit, OKX and Bitget; just adjust the fee rates if they differ.
