How to read the long/short ratio
The ratio measures how traders are positioned, not where price goes. When one side gets heavily crowded (above ~65%), those positions become liquidation fuel and price can move against them. Pair it with the funding rate, which shows who is paying whom, and the Fear & Greed Index for the market's mood. To see where your own position would be liquidated, use the liquidation price calculator.
